Bacho Sandvik Hammer/splitting axe - Having used all types of axe, this is the best yet, and more versatile than the more aggressive splitters, it does not have the tendency to stick like a felling axe or bounce like the more acutely angled splitters. The one down side is Bacho have recently become useless at supplying the shaft handles for this pattern head, which is slightly larger (2x1oval) than a standard maul shaft and obviously different from a pick pattern shaft. The amount of duty this axe pattern will endure, will last a lifetime if used correctly, invariably shafts will need to be replaced from time to time, this should be a simple process, yet with Bacho england being incompetent in suppling a basic comestible, is a waste of time.
